The Spring Switch: Lessons from Nature’s Rebirth

I looked out the window a few days ago and saw the tree full of life again. The luscious leaves swaying to the winds had me mesmerized. But it wasn’t just the rhythm that captivated me—it was the quiet drama of transformation. I could guarantee (a date-stamped picture below) that the same tree was barren just a month ago! "It’s like a switch,” I told Deepak. “One day, nature decides to turn it on—boom! There’s spring."

It's bewitching to see nature turn its color. Maybe because I come from a tropical region where some greenery was a constant phenomenon, this seasonal change never registered so visually, so vividly. Of course, the spring blooms—making their presence known through their color and fragrance—add to the intriguing beauty of it all. I love to take in this rejuvenating spirit of the spring season and soak up the goodness of these fleeting moments. Observing this splendor has taught me a few things.
What Spring Has Been Teaching Me
When it's time to let go, it's better to do so like the leaves in fall. Even when you feel the void and barrenness, it'll pass, and there'll be assured new growth after this phase.
Don't be shy to show off your vibrant colors in your growth phase.
The blossoming season is recurring but, at times, short. Enjoy it to the fullest without thinking about how long it lasts. Be present in it. Relish it.
There are seasons of rest, and there are seasons of bloom. Savor them. Learn new lessons from them.
Mother Nature is a great teacher, and I'm trying to build my patience to learn from her. Have you ever found life lessons hidden in nature’s shifts? I’d love to hear your thoughts—share them in the comments.
I hope you have a wonderful spring season!
Love,
Rashmi B.
